"We cannot direct the wind, but we can adjust the sail."

While keeping the safety of our sailors, volunteers, and patients at the forefront, The Rhode Island Leukemia Cup Race Committee proudly presents our new date and race format for 2020. This year's Regatta will take place as a Pursuit Race around Prudence Island in Narragansett Bay on Saturday, August 22, 2020! More details to follow.*

We are thrilled to look forward to a socially-distanced race on the water to raise vitally needed funds to support research, programs, and services for patients and their families. Now more than ever, these families need our support with the added hurdle of a global pandemic. Join us and raise more than just a sail!

*More announcements will follow with timing, starting point, and details regarding the Virtual Post-Race Celebration. Check here as well as our Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and e-mails to those on the Leukemia Cup Regatta contact list.

Thank you for your interest in the 26th Rhode Island Leukemia Cup Regatta,

Benefiting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS)!

Your support is the key to helping LLS achieve its mission of creating a world without blood cancers.

Here are some ways YOU can make an impact:

  1. Register to sail and raise funds - Sign up as a skipper or crew member to raise more than a sail!
    • Raise funds for the LLS mission with your crew!
      • All registered sailors receive a peer-to-peer fundraising website to support patients and families through the advancement of research and therapies, advocating for access, as well as programs for patients and caregivers
      • Registration fee is refunded if your crew raises $1,000 collectively!
    • Not around that weekend? Sign up as a Phantom Sailor and support the cause!
      • Whether as an individual or as part of a crew, click here to sign up and support the LLS mission without the sailing!
      • Learn more about fundraising tips, tools, and fun incentives you can earn here!
  2. Make a donation - Whether supporting the event itself, a particular sailor, or crew - click here!
    • You can also make a generic donation to the Leukemia Cup Race Committee's fundraising, here.
  3. Sponsor the event - Both monetary or in-kind support offers your company to create a great cause-marketing opportunity and chance to interact with hundreds of sailors on Regatta Weekend!
  4. Join us for an After Party Post-Sail - More details to come!
    • Virtual Post-Race BBQ & Awards Party - August 22, 2020; Time TBD
      • Join us virtually as we gather post-sail to celebrate a great day on the water with our cocktails in hand!

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you!

In the meantime, if you or a loved one has been diagnosed with blood cancer, LLS has doubled down in its efforts to support patients in need. Not only is LLS continuing to fund lifesaving research as well as virtual and tele-programs and services, but now thanks to the support of some of our partners, we will now be offering COVID-19 Financial Aid to patients affected by the crisis. Learn more about the program HERE.
